Will SQL Shades Pro add/fix...

SQL Shades Pro won't fix the bug you're thinking of, nor theme any part of SSMS that isn't themed already by the free edition of SQL Shades. SQL Shades Pro adds new themes and customization options on top of the free edition. That's it.

What's happening to the free version of SQL Shades?

SQL Shades remains free — that’s not changing. It will continue to receive updates, same as always. SQL Shades Pro just adds more themes and customization options on top.
